About Divorce and Family Law
Family Law is the area of the law that deals with family related issues and domestic relations, which can include issues on the nature of the relationship (domestic partnerships, marriage, pre-nuptial agreements, civil unions, etc.), issues that arise during a relationship, such as abuse and adoption, and the dissolution of a relationship (divorce or separation).
Divorce is the most common area of family law, and includes many ancillary matters, such as child custody, child support, visitation, spousal maintenance, and property settlements.
